The Thomas Jefferson National Facility (Jefferson Lab) plans to award physics internships to four students from foreign countries who are enrolled in an undergraduate physics program. Students whose research interest corresponds to activities conducted at Jefferson Lab in Newport News, Virginia (i.e., nuclear and related particle physics, or accelerator physics) are encouraged to apply.
PURPOSE
The JSA Research Internship for Foreign Undergraduates program is a summer research program held annually at Jefferson Lab. The program aims to recognize the world's most promising undergraduate physics students and immerse them in the science of Jefferson Lab. The internships provide students with the opportunity to interact with Jefferson Lab staff and visiting scientists in a learning/working environment. The program hopes to encourage these outstanding students to pursue advanced degrees in Jefferson Lab-related disciplines.
