2008 PRESENTATION PROPOSAL

Proposals must be submitted by May 15, 2008. Proposal receipt will be acknowledged by email. Late proposals will be considered on a space-available basis. A special discounted rate is provided for up to four presenters per session, however, all presenters are required to pre-register for the Institute by September 15, 2008. All presenters must be registered by September 1, 2008, for inclusion in the PDI program.

In accordance with VDOE guidelines for sustained professional development, at least 50% of the presentations will be strand-related.

Session is a:
a poster session (table space will be provided, all presenters will have a scheduled time to be with their posters)
one hour demonstration or seminar (theatre-style seating for attendees)
one hour hands-on session (table set-up for attendees)
two hour hands-on session (table set-up for attendees)

Ticketed Sessions:

Ticketed sessions may be cancelled if the preregistration does not meet the minimum number. Presenters may be reimbursed for expenses incurred for these sessions as long as these expenses do NOT include labor or mileage. Reimbursement will be made only from monies collected for that workshop or field trip. Presenters must submit receipts and an invoice to the VAST Treasurer.

VAST cannot provide any additional AV equipment. The presenter must supply computers, monitors, LCD projectors, DVD or VCR players. The internet connection is for the presenter only. There will be a limited number of rooms available for internet access. If you need additional internet connections please make arrangements with the convention center.
