JSA/Jefferson Lab High School Summer Honors Program - Summer 2025

Dear Student Applicant:

To be eligible to participate in the JSA/Jefferson Lab High School Summer Honors Program, you must attend a local high school (within 60 miles of Jefferson Lab), be at least 16 years old by the start date of the program, be in good academic standing, and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average. Students who are selected to participate in the JSA/Jefferson Lab High School Summer Honors Program are chosen on the basis of demonstrated skills and merit. Dependents of Jefferson Lab employees are not eligible for this program.

The 2025 JSA/Jefferson Lab High School Summer Honors Program begins on June 23, 2025 and concludes on August 1, 2025. Successful applicants must be available to work the duration of the program, 6 forty-hour weeks. To apply to the JSA/Jefferson Lab High School Summer Honors Program, follow the steps listed below. You must complete a new application package for each academic year in which you wish to be considered.

1. Complete the Student Application Form.
2. Obtain copies of your unofficial transcript to date and a list of the classes you are currently taking. Please submit this copy virtually via OneDrive.
3. Have two adults who know you well (at least one previous/current math or science teacher) complete the Reference Form. This form is automatically emailed to the email address the student identifies in the Student Application Form. It is highly recommended that you confirm with your identified recommenders that they have received the Recommender Form following the submission of the Student Application Form.
4. Have at least one parent/guardian complete the Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement Form. It is highly recommended that you confirm with your parent(s)/guardian(s) that they have received the Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement Form following the submission of the Student Application Form.

All application components must be submitted no later than March 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM, ET.

This is inclusive of the Student Application Form, two Recommender Forms, Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement Form, AND unofficial High School Transcript.

All Applicants will be notified by April 9, 2025
