High School Research at Jefferson Lab

VESDA

The aim of my project was to evaluate earlier designs of all 65 VESDA systems in Jefferson Lab using the manufacture's program, Aspire 2, in order to confirm how efficient the current system is in its area. I was to recalculate the smoke transport design for each system using the latest version of the software. Any existing VESDA systems that did not satisfy the current parameter were to be redesigned by myself and tested again until all were above the limit standard. After testing and redesigning, my final task was to establish a uniform electronic file for each VESDA system at Jefferson Lab.
