CHL LN2 Dewar Relief System Upgrade
My project is to design and install a new piping system with larger relief valves that have a higher volumetric flow rate than the current relief valves on the CHL LN2 Dewars. The relief valves need to have a larger volumetric flow rate because the previous design did not accommodate the truck pump rate, and so the dewars over pressurized too easily on account of the old relief valves being too small. We will be operating under ASME 31.3 (2014) code and Boiling Pressure Vessel Code for all pressure testing and welding happening in the upgrade.
