Experimental Hall C - Under the Beamline
When electrons from the accelerator strike atoms in the target, fragments will fly throughout this room. Two sets of detectors will be used to measure the fragments. The largest detector goes off to the right and is used to measure electrons from the beam that have bounced off of the target. The second detector goes off to the left and is used to measure any fragments that might be knocked out of the nucleus when the beam hits it. These fragments might be protons or other particles.
