In recent years, wire stretching techniques have been developed for the measurement of electrical centers of crabbing/deflecting cavities. Precise measurements of the electrical center are needed to determine beam alignment in order to obtain the best collision luminosity. The focus of this study was to investigate whether wire stretching methods could be accurately modeled using circuit simulations. Using the Quite Universal Circuit Simulator (QUCS), a 499MHz cavity with a wire stretching setup was built. Simulations demonstrated similar signal behavior to the physical configuration of the 499MHz cavity. The circuit model will be further studied to investigate other wire stretching methods, multi pole field measurements, and for other cavities.
