Jefferson Lab's Workbench Projects

Background

Materials can be classified according to their ability to allow electricity to flow through them. Materials which do little to impede the flow of electricity are classified as conductors while materials which strongly resist the flow of electricity are classified as insulators. By attempting to pass a small electrical current through a material, a material's electrical conductance can be tested.
